MiraMon at the 4th geomatic week, Möbius International and ISPRS 2000 meetings

Miramon will be present at 3 international events in the next 4 months:

4th geomatic week

Next April the fourth edition of the 'Setmana Geomŕtica' will take place in Sitges (Barcelona). It will gather professionals of geomatics, navigation and communications. Technical sessions dealing with different aspects of 'Cartography and Navigation' will be held.

The 4th geomatic week, with their parallel sessions, opens the doors to enterprises and institutions to allow them to present to the market new products in a professional and practical atmosphere.

For four days, an ideal context for meeting technical and science people, institutions and enterprises will be created. There will also be the participation of young university community members.

This meeting is organized by the 'Institut de Geomŕtica', and promoted by the 'Institut Cartogrŕfic de Catalunya' (Generalitat de Catalunya), 'Escola Universitŕria Politčcnica de Barcelona' and 'Colˇlegi Oficial d'Enginyers Tčcnics en Topografia de catalunya'.

The sections will deal with:

MiraMon will be presented there, with a special emphasis on the MiraMon Map Reader and a completely new tool to change cartographic reference systems:

Ordinary session: Wednesday April 5th. 16.00 to 16.30 h.

Möbius International Award

The organization of the Barcelona Multimedia 1999 Möbius award announced that the international edition will be held between the 4th and 6th of May in the Great Auditorium of Georges Pompidouin Center in Paris (France).

Claudi Cervello is going to be there in represention of the DMA (Department of the Environment of the Catalan Government). Their website based on MiraMon Map Reader technologies will be presented.

XIXth ISPRS Congress Amsterdam 2000

The Netherlands Society for Earth Observation and Geoinformatics (NSEOG) organises the 19th ISPRS Congress and Exhibition from the 16th to the 23rd of July, 2000, at the RAI International Exhibition and Congress Centre in Amsterdam.

The main body of the congress will be preceded by tutorials and in-depth workshops on July 14th and Saturday 15th of July, 2000. A major component of the 19th ISPRS Congress will be the commercial and scientific exhibition that will provide participants insight into up to date developments in photogrammetry and remote sensing. Congrex Holland, professional congress organiser, is responsible for the technical operation.

MiraMon will be presented there with a special emphasis on the MiraMon Map Reader Internet technology.

MiraMon Map Reader, a new way for distributing and exploring Geographic Information.

Design and implementation of a GIS-based report management tool for the "Zona Volcŕnica de la Garrotxa" Natural Park (Catalonia, Spain).

Also, MiraMon will take part in the Scientific Exhibition of the XIXth Congress of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. In a 9-square-meter stand visitors will have the chance to be introduced to the MiraMon GIS and the MiraMon Internet Technology.
The Exhibition timetable will be: 17-21 July, 2000 (Monday to Friday) will be open daily from 9am to 6pm (friday till noon).
The Exhibition area will be located in the Amsterdam RAI.
