From all the existing SIG softwares, MiraMon, developed in CREAF, has a great difusion in Catalonia. This difusion has become more important in the last years due to the agreement with the Departament d'Innovació, Universitats i Empresa of Catalonia that permits the freely distribution of MiraMon to the public administrations, universities and students from Catalonia. ICC, with the aim to give the maximum diffusion to its cartographic datasets, has considered appropriate to incorporate MiraMon among its distribution formats. With this scope, ICC has been working with CREAF in order to offer a version of its cartographic datasets in MiraMon, of maximum quality, that carefully gather all the detail from spatial, alphanumeric and metadata information from the original sources and incorporate, as well, the MMZ certification that guarantee the authority from ICC and its integrity.
In this Workshop, organized together by CREAF and ICC, will be exposed in detail the motivation and particularities of the Base Topogràfica 5M (BT-5M). The way to get other products and services will also be presented.
