MiraMon at the GIS PlaNET'98 meeting
MiraMon was presented at GIS PlaNET'98, International Conference
and Exhibition on Geographic Information, 7-11 September 1998, Lisboa-Postugal.
MiraMon GIS was shown at the stand on a personal basis. MiraMon is a non-lucrative
product but with outstanding professional characteristics which was
explained at the stand. MiraMon can:
- Digitize over raster and vector layers copying preexisting graphical objects
- Build true point, arc and polygon topology
- Make locational queries and queries by attribute over both vector and raster data
- Work with very large files in an uncompressed format and in RLE-compressed format
- Print high quality maps
- Generate orthophotoimages from aerial photography
- Integrate with internet technology
- etc.
Dr. Xavier Pons (developer of MiraMon), Joan Masó, Jordi Valeriano, Carles Dalmases,
Ricardo Díaz, Miquel Ninyerola, Antònia Valentín and Arnald Marcer, members of the MiraMon project
were present.
